Your Copilot agent is still there. Microsoft changed the sign.

Agents is becoming Plugins. A small navigation change needs a clear explanation for the people using it.

You finally showed someone where the agents live. Microsoft has moved the sign.

In its September 30 announcement, Microsoft says the top-level Agents page is becoming Plugins. Existing agents remain accessible there, alongside skills and connectors. The registry is rolling out across supported Copilot experiences; that does not mean every employee sees it today. Read Microsoft’s announcement.

The name changed. The agent did not disappear.

A plugin can package agents, reusable instructions called skills, and connectors to services and data. Microsoft says admins manage these through Agents > Tools in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Foundry support are described as future additions.

Basic registry and management capabilities require qualifying Microsoft cloud subscriptions. This announcement does not establish what your organization has enabled or what every connected service costs. We have not tested the rollout.

Here is a suggested note to adapt after checking your own interface: “If you used to find your agent under Agents, look under Plugins. If it is missing, tell us which app you opened and the name of the agent.”

Then update the screenshot in your training material. Keep the old label in the instructions for a while so people can find either version.

Putting related tools together could help. Making employees wonder whether yesterday’s training has expired does not. When you move the sign, leave directions.
